Thank you @UofGlasgow for bestowing upon my mum the honorary degree of doctor of the University of Glasgow. This has brought her so much joy in the final beats of her life. Janey is so honoured, and I am so immensely proud of her. Congratulations Doctor Godley.

I've not been able to stop crying today - one of those sad days - but seeing Max's little face has just broken me.
He must be so scared. He should be playing out, not preparing for surgery, & his family shouldn't be worrying about raising funds - but unfortunately they are. 2/
This is my friend Max just before brain surgery today.
In 7 yrs, he's had 6 brain tumours, 28 doses of chemo, endless radiotherapy, numerous surgeries & transfusions.
He just wants to go back to school, while his mum Keira is frantically trying to raise funds for treatment. 1/
I hate sharing such sad stories & I can't help our Laura now, but I can try to raise awareness of this awful, heartbreaking disease.
Please share & do help if you possibly can.

🧵Read Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe's article in Harper's Bazaar today - how creativity saved her in her six years in prison in Iran. This embroidery is her work, done while under house arrest at her inlaws' (credit Harper's Bazaar).
There are important lessons in her experience
Some takeaways after my conversation with a hospice nurse of 12 years based on her experience:
1) Many people will not pass away unless they feel ready and this can sometimes mean getting their hair washed, being shaved, or having a bowel movement.
⭐️This week our Digital Team welcomed T-Level learners, who will be joining us as part of their industry placements and to learn about digital services in the NHS ⭐️ #NHSCareers#BeYourBest
