Nine years ago the godfather of Brexit, Lord Daniel Hannan, predicted life in Brexit Britain in June 2025. Roll the tape… (VO by @gavinesler. Parts 2 & 3 below👇)
I applaud and stand in awe of the intellect, integrity and moral courage of @FranceskAlbs
She is heroic
Whilst most of the Western elites deserve our deepest contempt for their actions over Gaza
Brexit has set the country back a decade but the editors conspired to lie to their readers so cannot admit it. I have been saying this consistently and I am right. They should hang their heads in utter shame.
Amazing, the @DailyMail manages to publish an entire feature bewailing (!!!!) the exodus of Poles from Britain without once mentioning Brexit. Apparently this outcome (which is what it campaigned for in 2016) is all the fault of Keir Starmer. https://t.co/dkTV2HOxI9
"The right to trial by jury is an important factor in delicate balance between the power of the state and the power of the individual" - Keir Starmer (1992)
What changed?
Nigel Farage’s Legacy — Brexit: the trillion pound ‘mistake’
The National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER)… confirms the Treasury’s 2016 analysis, claiming a relative fall in GDP of between 6% and 8%.

A generation of Brexit editors led their readers to economic doom, Brexit slashed GDP by 6-8pc (Source: SIEPR) and today's headlines are by the hoodlums that created this bloody mess in the first place. I grew up with these editors, they should hang their heads in shame. This is no longer a contested political point, it is economic fact.
“We don’t understand what the world is waiting for before allowing in thousands of tents and temporary homes… We renew our appeal for shelter for the 1000th time to all free people around the world: Gaza needs dignified shelter. Gaza needs housing. Gaza needs to save what can still be saved.”
— Eyad Amawi, Gaza Humanitarian Coordinator
Krishnan Guru-Murthy, "Why is the sale of ITV worrying for public service broadcasting?"
Dorothy Byrne, "It's deeply concerning when our main commercial news provider in the UK looks like its going to be taken over by a massive US company"
"We will now have the situation where ITV News is going to be owned by Comcast. They already own Sky"
"Paramount Skydance own Channel 5"
"And we mustn't forget that ITV owns 40% of ITN which makes Channel 4 News, this program"
"We can't just say it's inevitable that the big global US players take us over"
"We should be controlling the narrative about our country from our own country"
"We have seen this big American TV players come under a lot of pressure from Donald Trump, and that's a particular worry"
"MPs should be moving to make sure there are strong controls in place to protect our political democracy"
"Channel 4 News is something very very special in our society
#IlariaSalis Can the #EU protect liberal democracy? "The new technique is not censorship, but criminalisation; not silencing opponents, but framing them as public dangers. In this climate, a scuffle in a Budapest alley becomes “terrorism” https://t.co/WHD7KC6mHn @BattlegroundEU
@TheNewsAgents@maitlis@jonsopel@lewis_goodall He’s obviously repeating the Trump playbook: immigrants eating cats and dogs, critics have ‘Farage (Trump) derangement syndrome’, threatening DOGE cuts to local councils, etc, etc. UK media need to call it out for what it is, rather than further amplifying the Trump playbook.
Blaming asylum seekers for homelessness? What about the 720,000 empty homes in England, and the 1,627,450 second homes in England alone.
Blaming asylum seekers for expensive food shops? What about the £3,100,000,000 profit Tesco made last year?
Blaming asylum seekers for expensive energy bills? What about the £438,000,000,000 made by just 20 energy companies in profit?
Blaming immigrants for not getting an NHS appointment? What about the 260,000+ migrant workers keeping the NHS going? And what about the 25% real term cut in NHS funding, think that could do it?
Blaming people on welfare for a lack of money to fund the NHS? What about the £36,000,000,000 tax gap due to avoidance and evasion by the elite?
It's time to realise it's not immigrants, asylum seekers or people on welfare causing you any harm, it's capitalism and the mega rich hoarding all the wealth.
As we've seen across history, the populist playbook used by Farage is ugly, powerful and incredibly destructive.
We know where it will lead if we don't stop it.
Thousands of Bosnian Serbs participated in the Srebrenica genocide in July 1995, killing more than 8,000 mostly Muslim men and boys in just three days.
But only 54 people have ever been convicted. So why are so many killers walking free? Al Jazeera's @soraya_lennie explains.
We are truly living in a time of imperial authoritarianism:
A wanted war criminal, Netanyahu 🇮🇱
Who has murdered 20,000 children in Gaza 🇵🇸
Presents a letter to the man who gave him the weapons for genocide- Trump 🇺🇸
Nominating Trump 🇺🇸 for the Nobel peace prize.
Sickening.
"It is now the routine to shoot & kill desperate & starving people while they try to collect little food from a company made of mercenaries."
This, from the head of UNRWA, should horrify us all. This alone should stop the UK from selling arms to Israel. Shamefully, it won't.
🔴Supplying weapons to a state accused of genocide, war crimes, and crimes against humanity violates int'l law — and fuels further atrocities.
🔴Today the clearest path to Israel’s legitimate self-defense is to stop arming it.
Today Israeli forces killed 51 and wounded over 200 people seeking food in Khan Younis.
This massacre alone should provoke outrage and action from world leaders, but they are happening almost daily with little reaction.
We mustn't allow unconscionable cruelty to be normalised.
