🚨 ALERT: In a bombshell interview that's sending shockwaves across the Arctic, former Greenlandic MP Tillie Martinussen delivered a chilling warning: Greenlanders "can never really trust America again."
"We do not want to be rich like Americans. Look how greedy they are, even trying to invade their friends.
Even if there are minerals and oil under our land—and they are worth far more—we still would not sell ourselves.
We know what happened to Indigenous people in Alaska and Native Americans. Their land was taken, and they were not treated well.
We see who Trump surrounds himself with—white power people—and we are not white. We are people of color.
We know our rights would likely be taken away."
@Qantas disgraceful service cancelling my 10yr old sons ticket from
Copenhagen to Sydney whilst his Father is still booked to fly in 3hrs? What is a 10 year old Aus citizen meant to do? Your booking system is a failure, your customer service is shambles. Never again, trust lost.
@bradpettitt 2/2 I’m not disagreeing with its destruction, but we should challenge the way it is described. As you identify since 1953 Perth metro planning policies have attempted to combat it, but instead structurally reinforce it.
@bradpettitt 1/2 Planned urban growth. Sprawl has been adopted from our US counterparts where it is uncontrolled. We’ve adopted this term in Oz without critiquing it. It turns up as ‘oh well sprawl’ when in fact it’s intentional.
Shout out to the amazing bus driver on the 413 city bound right now. He’s got all the tunes and groove happening- Frank Sinatra into Madonna’s ‘Material Girl’ 🙌 Sometimes it’s the small things that give profound moments of joy. Happy Wednesday all 🥰@TransportforNSW
To the Australian people, young and old.
I have lived through many of these extraordinary moments in this country.

John Favini (@John_Favini) examines the assumptions implicit in the notion of an “invasive species.” This narrow concept serves to muddle the real factors behind environmental crises and exonerate profit-seeking human activity.

This #WorldArtDay, let us remember how art can unite & connect us even in times of crisis and difficulty.

What Matt O’Sullivan doesn’t report in this mornings @smh is the increase in patronage from 609,142 to 1.28mill on the L3 light rail to Kingsford is due to staff and students returning face to face to UNSW’s campus. The light rail has been transformative but this the explanation!
Vale Yunupingu. Widely respected, and known for his wise and enduring counsel, he worked with many Prime Ministers towards a better future. While we no longer have the power of his advocacy, we can honour his legacy through The Voice.
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are asking the country for two simple things.
Recognition in the constitution.
And a Voice to Parliament.
Today the Referendum Working Group has announced the proposed wording for a referendum that will do just that.
