New research has shed new light on the vital role Polish personnel played in Allied codebreaking, uncovering more names behind Britain's wartime codebreaking effort.

We've identified 27 Polish codebreakers and signals intelligence workers who supported Bletchley Park during World War Two, with more names expected to follow.

The research was prompted by the story of Ferdynand Vanke, known as Fred, a 103 year-old former Polish radio operator who served at Boxmoor, a Polish SIGINT station near Hemel Hempstead which supported Bletchley Park.
