The birth of Bhagavan here on earth, the JagadGuru, is so mysterious. Even if it seems like He is like everyone else, the world only sees a small fraction of His true nature. How can the world understand the birth of Unconditional Love? The mind cannot understand such things. In spirituality, all paths and faiths emphasize that one must go beyond that lower mind. Because to understand unconditional love one cannot use the mind. It can only be felt deep within the heart. Who is brave enough to walk the path of exploring what lies beyond the mind? This is not a question to be answered externally but rather than internal exploration that continues throughout one’s life. This inner exploration for the eternal and immovable truth is the truth of the heart. The truth that everyone’s soul hides deep within. It is not for others but for one’s own self that this beautiful journey is undertaken, to go from the mundane to the eternal. To go from the mind to the heart. To go from the external limited reality to the inner unlimited reality.
The JagadGuru, Bhagavan Krishna reminds everyone throughout the Bhagavad Gita that one must transform that judging mind into a sweet and loving one. Change the mind from one’s worst enemy to one’s best friend. How can one undertake this deep inner transformation? First learn discrimination, the true difference between right and wrong actions. Then follow the right path strongly. Slowly, the mind will release it tight control and the true self will begin to reveal itself. To listen to the deep voice of the heart, one must have great courage. Because love never asks for others’ sacrifice. Love never causes pain to others. Love never has any demands. Love only knows how to give. Love only knows how to sacrifice itself for others. Love only knows how to grow continuously. One has to become love itself to know love. To know Unconditional Love one has to submerge oneself into its endless waters. Fully surrender to it.
This is the extraordinary beauty of the JagadGuru, the SatGuru’s life on earth. Bhagavan Krishna promised to come again and again to establish righteousness in the world. The same way one has to believe when the heart recognizes the SatGuru and just learn from Him. The SatGuru has walked the path of Unconditional Love and reveals it to everyone. How much one receives depends on the size of the cup one is holding under the endless rain of Mercy.
On this blessed day of Krishna Janmashtami may the entire world be reminded of Unconditional Love. To transform oneself fully into love so that one can again experience true and permanent joy. May Sri Krishna’s endless mercy flow to all. May Unconditional Love be fully born within each one’s heart.
