Today, the Russians once again "vanquished" purely civilian sites – ordinary passenger buses in Odesa, ordinary apartment buildings in Zaporizhzhia, and an ordinary hospital in the Kharkiv region. Every single day of this war that Russia is waging against life only proves that supporting Ukraine is the right thing to do from every perspective – defense, political, and simply human.

And everyone around the world sees it. They see that Ukraine needs more air defense, more protection for people's lives, and that the Russian authorities have gone insane over this war and are completely irrational in refusing to end it.

But pressure on Russia must work. New sanctions against the aggressor, new support packages for Ukraine, new projects – like our European anti-ballistic initiative, FREYJA – all of this must work. Russia killed a 13-year-old girl in Sumy today. She was near a public transport stop when Russia struck the city with guided aerial bombs.

Four men were also killed: one was a bus driver, and the other three were standing near the stop.

At least 30 people were injured.

This morning, Russia attacked Kyiv with ballistic missiles. Now it has struck Sumy with guided aerial bombs. At least four people have been killed and seven more injured. The rescue operation continues.

Russia is attacking Ukrainian cities throughout the day with every weapon at its disposal. This is not “pressure” or “escalation.” It is the deliberate murder of civilians by a state that has made terror its policy.

The Kremlin believes it can bomb residential areas, kill Ukrainians, and still be treated as a party genuinely interested in peace. Every new strike proves the opposite. Moscow is using diplomacy as cover while continuing to kill.

Ukraine needs the capabilities to intercept Russian missiles, destroy the aircraft dropping these bombs, and protect its people. The decisions are known. The resources exist. What we need now is determined joint action.

Together with our partners, we must deprive Russia of its ability to terrorize Ukrainian cities, protect innocent lives, and force Moscow to understand that terror will never bring it victory.
