WHEAT MARKET OUTLOOK MONDAY🌾
EU heat has taken the top end off yield ideas, Canadian excess moisture is becoming a more legitimate production and quality risk, and tomorrow’s Statistics Canada and USDA acreage report will provide fresh fundamental data points. Markets are comfortable right now with the current state of the crops across the United States and Black Sea region. Durum outlook remains mostly flat. This market will be watching tomorrow’s StatsCan report closely. A large Western Canadian crop would keep durum markets muted into early winter, at least until we have an idea on what prospects are for the next North African crop harvest or depending on U.S. durum supplies moving forward.

Wheat midge population increases were comparable to those seen in 2024 and in approximately the same regions. A hotspot near Regina continued to grow and elevated populations were detected in large areas of Central and Southeast Saskatchewan.

As a proud member of SaskCrops, we’re working with our industry partners to advocate for a transparent export sales reporting program here in Canada. Timely and consistent export data would help wheat producers strengthen marketing decisions, improve planning and better respond to global demand trends.

Supporting mental health in our communities doesn’t always require formal training or structured programs, though there is important value in those too.
As The Do More Agriculture Foundation @domoreag shares, it often happens in small, everyday ways—checking in on a neighbour, making space for conversation, or sharing resources that have helped you along the way.
Rural communities already know how to care for each other. They show up with meals, hands, equipment, and time when it matters most. Supporting mental health is simply an extension of that same instinct to help one another.
How do you support mental health in your community?
