Therapy is different for everyone. Therapy is a unique experience for each person – no session is ever the same. It’s about growth and understanding. I'm starting this series to open conversations about what therapy means for us. #TherapyIs#Counselling#PersonCentredApproach
Once upon a time, not belonging could get you eaten by dinosaurs or, at the very least, left out. We smile, we say “yes,” we keep the peace until we forget who we were before we learned to please.
Maybe the work isn’t about changing , but noticing where we’ve disappeared.
Therapy isn’t a one-size-fits-all process. You’re not a textbook case—why should therapy follow a formula? The relationship between therapist and client is what truly matters. Therapy should shape around you,not the other way around. #TherapyIs#PersonCentred#TherapistsConnect
The best resource helping professionals have? Each other. Connection is one of the strongest buffers against burnout, but peer support doesn’t just happen—it needs space to grow. Who’s in your support network? #PeerSupportMatters#WorkplaceWellbeing#BurnoutPrevention
Compassion fatigue can hit suddenly, leaving us drained, cynical, and questioning our ability to care. It’s not burnout, but it is real—and protecting ourselves matters. Our Five Pillars of Protection help buffer the impact. Let’s talk about it.
#CompassionFatigue
You can’t podcast your way out of vicarious trauma—but tuning out for a while might give you space to recharge. Helping others is heavy work. Let’s keep the conversation going about what real support looks like. 💙 Self-care helps, but it’s not the whole answer.

🌱 New Year, NO NEED for a New You!
Instead of chasing resolutions, what if the new year became a time to reconnect with who you already are? Therapy is about exploring the real you—not reinventing, but exploring .

🌱 Therapy is a place where we are heard, even when we struggle to find the words.
Sometimes, having someone truly listen helps us untangle feelings we didn’t even realise we had.

Anger isn’t unhealthy. It’s the way we express it that’s healthy or unhealthy. In counselling, we identify how to manage your #anger and express it in healthy ways, helping to improve communication, #relationships, and boundary setting.

We don't 'create' safe spaces.
We create spaces for people to feel safe enough in.
When we say 'create' safe spaces we are insisting it is safe. It is an oppressive (power-over) relational dynamic with our client/supervisee.

Therapy is... where I can practise being me, without fear of judgement. It’s a place where empathy and authenticity allow us to uncover our true selves. 🌿 #TherapyIs#Authenticity#Counselling
Curiosity is essential in both therapy and teaching. It’s about walking alongside, not leading, as we explore what’s within us. Sometimes the path isn’t clear, but the journey is worth it. 🌿 #TherapyJourney#PersonCentred#Curiosity#CounsellorLife
