@SiNister1080p Pretty simple reason. This is a week long data collection test. It won't be staying. Meant to give them an idea on how popular a mode like this would be so they can choose to develop it or not. Likely won't be permanent until 2027/2028
@Millzaatv_ Embark actually cooked with this update. So many things they haven't revealed that just keep making it better and better. If they keep this up every 6 months, they'll have one hell of a game on their hands.
@BFurr19@GPHustla@Brammflakes There should be some inherent danger to giving items to your teammates that they haven't unlocked yet. This would balance the access issue so that start of matches aren't just people selling the best gear and crating imbalance. Also Heli/Tank should be locked until 25-50 points
@BFurr19@GPHustla@Brammflakes Honestly they should add a "stockpile" buildable, where players can purchase extra items to put in the stockpile if they want to help their team.
Fobbits can build that item and other players can access the stockpile. It can also be blown up cutting off access in the field.
@altols@Pencilvestyrr@Brammflakes #1 short season, no one who didn't no life the game would get all the progression
#2 early access, the game will balance progression over time.
#3 you aren't meant to be able to be God tier at every track. Pick a job, stick to it, and unlock better tools for the job.
@xicooow_@Brammflakes The devs stated 2 years of early access when they released it into early access.
This is own of the new ways smaller teams are building games now, alongside their community instead of ahead of, or above them.
@theTzav@AirwingMarine This is exactly why they got the suspension. (Should have been a ban personally since they admitted to knowing what they were doing was an exploit and then tried to circumvent the suspension by playing dumb)
@theTzav@AirwingMarine If you can't figure out that building 150 bunkers haphazardly bunched together with no tactical advantage and then getting half a team to ignore the main objective and mortar a pile of trash to make money, is an exploit, you should just eat the ban and go play something else. π«ͺ
@theTzav@AirwingMarine An exploit is an exploit I dunno why you guys need to be so pedantic about it. Play the game as intended. It's not that hard to figure out.
@theTzav@AirwingMarine People would do it, to get easy gold bars, involved their community in the exploit and then tried to play dumb afterwards claiming they didn't know it was an exploit.
Everything about the situation stinks of deliberate exploitation, which is specifically against the rules. 3/3
@theTzav@AirwingMarine Who tried to warn them that it was an exploit and they could get banned for it.
They're lucky it was only a 7 day suspension, let alone a permaban, which is what the devs clearly stated could happen if people exploited like this. They also promoted it on stream so that more /2
@nezdravTV@AirwingMarine Building a proper FOB for my team and then sitting on mortars to damage the enemy teams FOB I made about 80,000
They were farming millions doing what they did.
Clearly unintended gameplay, a clear exploit of the bonus cash system. Just cause you can do it, doesn't mean you should
@theTzav@AirwingMarine Abused the fob damage payments to mass mortar the location to farm coins in a way that isn't possible if you're playing the game legit.
They also planned all of this. It wasn't emergent gameplay, they went in with the intent to exploit the game. 2/2
@theTzav@AirwingMarine If they had built a proper FOB and then it got taken over naturally and while trying to take it back, happened to destroy some of the FOB that's one thing. They built a giant pile of garbage that had no value to the team, likely had someone switch teams to capture it and then /1
