India visa fraud is rampant.

The US H-1B visa is widely considered broken and exploitable. The NZ-India FTA 'Specialist' visa is worse by every measure:

✅H-1B: capped at 65,000/yr
❌NZ: limitless and UNCAPPABLE

✅H-1B: requires prevailing wage attestation
❌NZ: labour market tests prohibited by treaty

✅H-1B: requires a wage floor
❌NZ: none

✅H-1B: requires a degree
❌NZ: no degree, no prior employment requirement

✅H-1B: Congress can reform it tomorrow
❌NZ: treaty-locked, can't be changed without India's permission

✅H-1B: credentials verified by USCIS
❌NZ: NZQA assessment removed for many Indian qualifications last year

The US can fix its problem. But we will bind ours into international law.

No reasonable nation would agree to these visa terms knowing that milder versions have spectacularly failed overseas. This mass immigration wormhole has nothing to do with free trade.

Ask your National, Labour and ACT MPs why they would entrench this in a binding treaty and who they're actually representing.
