Finally watching Ikoku Nikki! What a piece it is. It's emotional yet calming. How they portray Asa's emotions is subtle enough but not too much. The VA direction is too good in this, every dialogue feel grounded that it makes me feel like I'm watching real people talking

Episode 1-8 is a hell for me, I'm going in prepared to cry, end up bawling. 9-13 is more of an episode for Asa to think about her other concern, it's still emotional but a lot of it fell on a "heartwarming cry" side.
