8 years into a State of Emergency on Homelessness and this parody news headline best summarizes our heartbreaking failure to solving our housing crisis.
just had one of the most dehumanizing and upsetting experiences i’ve ever had at a pharmacy ✌🏻didn’t know it was CVS policy to taunt patients over the fact that they can’t afford $100 for a monthly medication
Even though I introduced my boyfriend as such to my coworker, they still refer to them as my "friend". Gonna start calling everyone's spouses their "friends" and see how long it takes for the cishets to get butthurt
@itsmegangraves Not shoplifting, but I worked as a min wage security guard for some plutocrat apt bldg and I straight up told residents, if someone came here with a gun looking for you, I'm giving them the keys and a map for what your boss is paying me
Every single retail job I’ve ever had explicitly told us to not go after shoplifters so when you hear stories of someone harming a shoplifter where they work they’re not doing that “to protect the company” they’re doing that bc they want to harm someone
So you can buy $3 million in medical debt for $15k and I’m sure some economist can explain how this makes sense but I’m just gonna default to money only being real for poor people.

@mayavada If anything, killing the dealers who get caught will help the dealers that don't by eliminating the competition and restricting access to drive up prices
