Memorial Day Parade this Saturday, May 23rd @ 10:00am. Expect traffic delays along the route starting at Anna Parker Playground, to Cliftondale Sq. rotary, Jackson St. to Central St., to Winter St. and ending at the Riverside Cemetery.

Boston’s Wounded Vet Run will take place on Sunday, May 17th. Saugus residents and drivers should expect traffic delays between approx. 12:30 pm through 1:30 pm. The streets directly affected are Lincoln Ave, Central St., and Main St.

Saugus PD will be participating in a Drug Take-Back event on Saturday, October 25th, 10:am - 2:pm to collect all your unused, unwanted medications at the Saugus Police station (27 Hamilton St.) The drug drop off area will be set up on the right side of the Public Safety Building.
The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) is announcing extended detours on the bridge carrying Route 107 over the Saugus River in Lynn and Saugus. Findings from a recent bridge inspection required the closure of the bridge. The bridge will be closed until further notice. To ensure safety, vehicle loads must be removed from the affected sections until appropriate repairs can be completed.
There will be no impact on vessels, as the drawbridge will remain operational. Sidewalks will remain open to bicyclists and pedestrians during the closure.
The following detours will be in effect:
Northbound traffic on Route 107 (Salem Turnpike) will be detoured at the Route 107/Ballard Street intersection as follows:
• Turn left onto Ballard Street.
• Turn right onto Lincoln Avenue.
• Continue on Boston Street.
• Turn right onto Summer Street.
• Take Summer Street back to Route 107 (Western Avenue).
Southbound traffic on Route 107 (Western Avenue) will be detoured as follows:
• Turn right onto Summer Street.
• Turn left onto Boston Street.
• Continue onto Lincoln Avenue.
• Turn left onto Ballard Street.
• Take Ballard Street back to Route 107 (Salem Turnpike).
Appropriate signage, law enforcement details, and advance message boards will be in place to guide drivers through the work area.
Drivers traveling through the affected areas should expect delays, reduce speed, and use caution.

Wakefield PD is trying to locate 14 year old Brenden Bruckler, who was reported missing Saturday afternoon after not returning home from the Square One Mall in Saugus. Brenden is described as being 5'5, 100 lbs, with brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a Bruins jersey, and light blue Croc sandals. He has ties to Boston, and may be en route to New York. Anyone with information, please call the Wakefield PD at 781-245-1212.
Saugus PD is trying to locate 15 year old Chloe Murphy who was reported missing Saturday afternoon after not returning home from the Square One Mall with her friend, Brenden Bruckler. Chloe is described as being a white female, 6'1, 300 lbs, with brown hair and hazel eyes. She was last seen wearing black leggings, and a gray/white Bruins sweatshirt.
