@notwandbc All Wandsworth's parks can breath a huge sigh of relief. Just so long as they don't bring Cllr "parks are a luxury" Torrington off the bench instead! Clean sweep for Labour in Queenstown Ward, the Cook recipe of half truths & self interest has left a very long lasting aftertaste
Sad day. Cllr 'Chopper' Cook will no longer be responsible for our parks and open spaces. Don't worry though, he'll be in charge of "strategic planning" and transport instead.
After last week's mishap, Cllr Hart is upping his game. Progressing from the easily spotted out & out fib to the more subtle implied fib. No Wandsworth parties have threatened to cut rubbish collections. Labour have specifically promised to keep weekly collections. #fibsnotfacts
@NightingaleSMcD@IanHart14 Better not let 'chopper' Cook at it, the man who knows the price of everything and the value of nothing. You and your Tory cabal have had the reins of power for too long @WandsworthLab
@QueenstownTori @Cllrmariehanson@wandbc@wandsworth Cllr Hanson you peddle such mistruths over Formula E U made no public efforts to fight this park trashing event You gave no support to fighting the event U sat on the side and did nothing. How you have the gall to say otherwise is beyond belief
Shh... once wandsworth conservatives hear they'll be roaming the streets with another one of their guaranteed success petitions. https://t.co/S5VYQshob5
Cllr Cook at Tooting Common to celebrate the great work we've done to "breathe new life" into its "most important features". The common's horse chestnut trees were unavailable for photography having had new life breathed into them by being chopped down and wood chipped.
The leader of the Council has given the magic money tree a good old shake and found £10m to spend on b̶r̶i̶b̶e̶s̶ improvements. Just in time for the local elections! Surely you'll vote for his wonderful, fiscally responsible, conservatives now. https://t.co/bTWXNX8lVK
This winter we are planting over 500 new trees. Unfortunately, we aren't able to tell you whether this represents a net increase or decrease on tree numbers because we haven't been counting how many trees we've removed.
Don't worry we won't stop you climbing trees, flying kites or having fun. We just wanted the power to stop you climbing trees, flying kites and having fun. We won't use it though, we promise. #sowhybother https://t.co/gimmagacXS
It's time for another of our 4-yearly major tree-planting programmes. We do them purely for the love of trees, not whenever council elections are 6 months' away. We also save you money by re-using the old press releases and photos.
