Animals face the worst form of brutality. Temple Elephants, Cow Slaughter, Dog killing, wildlife crimes... Let your objections be heard. Speak up for animals.
POOR, HELPLESS, INNOCENT #MIKEY WAS MURDERED. FOR WHAT?
I could not watch #ManjariFadnis in tears yesterday. Very very sad indeed. She was broken.
A society and people who remain silent observers when human lynching is normalized, eventually destroy their own humanity. Why will they even bother about dogs and cats??? The latter suffer and are victimised for no fault of theirs, like Mikey. Tragic.
Are we surprised that India ranks as one of the unhappiest countries in the world???

The Bombay High Court in India "noted that the right of an elephant to a quality life is over and above the rights of men to use the animal for religious rites". More: https://t.co/XZmqjyWOYt
Humanity is not tested by how we treat the powerful. It is tested by how we treat the voiceless.
I urge the Hon'ble Supreme Court to urgently reconsider its position on community dogs and I appeal to Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji to uphold India's values of compassion and coexistence.

#Eid, a day I struggle miserably to emotionally endure, so much so that I can’t even step out dreading what I might encounter.
A festival I find myself incapable of wishing my closest Muslim friends. My ordeal might offend many, but this ordeal is real for me, and millions like me. One that we suffer twice every year.
Even in my closed room my senses can smell the stench of death and blood , constantly fighting my own mind - flashes of goats being dragged to be sold, fully aware of their fate …..
the trauma and fear of the trembling goats witnessing throats of others being slit watching them wriggle in pain, eventually suffering the same end themselves …. dying many deaths before their final one.
Any religion, any belief, any festival , any tradition CANNOT be your justification for a BLOODBATH.
If a celebration demands horror, suffering and bloodshed, humanity must have the courage to question and reflect - no matter how old or accepted it may be.

Can Rabid dogs be killed at will after the 19th May SC order ?
Let us understand the legal perspective so that we can protect our Streeties from people and authorities who misunderstand, misquote and misuse the order to legitimise killing of dogs.

A Supreme Court order carries enormous social power. When language is interpreted as hostility towards community dogs in a country already struggling with cruelty and illegal relocation, the consequences become very real and very dangerous. @barandbench@LiveLawIndia
The ugliness and violence against #straydogs tells us more about ourselves and the humanity we have lost.
I have a suggestion for you:
Adopt a dog ( or cat). And improve your life.
@BhagwantMann Pls delete your tweet when you’re sober. Court order parhe bina orders jaari kar dete ho kya ? Aise hi chalate ho Punjab ko ? Shame on you @BhagwantMann . I lost all respect for you today. Will never vote for @AamAadmiParty@ArvindKejriwal
@PandeyKamna@BhagwantMann What is wrong with @BhagwantMann ? Pls delete your tweet when you’re sober. Court order parhe bina orders jaari kar dete ho kya ? Aise hi chalate ho Punjab ko ?
@BhagwantMann You and Punjab govt will be in contempt of Hon. Supreme Court for this ‘massive campaign to eliminate stray and killer dogs’.
Kindly read the order before any knee jerk govt level decision.
Reproducing the exact wordings of the order. Please read and understand -
‘subject to due assessment by qualified veterinary experts and STRICTLY IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS of the PCA Act 1960, the ABC Rules, 2023 and other APPLICABLE STATUTORY PROVISIONS, take such measures AS MAY BE LEGALLY PERMISSIBLE, including euthanasia in cases involving rabid, incurably ill or demonstrably dangerous/aggressive dogs, so as to effectively curb the threat posed to human life and safety.’
Since ABC Rules do not permit euthanasia of Rabid or aggressive dogs, the order effectively allows euthanasia of ONLY incurably ill and mortally wounded dogs.
NO DOG other than mortally wounded and incurably ill, is legally permitted to be euthanised.

Five years after Avijit Sarkar’s lynching, his brother still shelters rescued strays. Beside Avijit’s memorial lies another, for 3 murdered puppies under a Tulsi plant.
Padmaja Joshi brings you this story from Kolkata.

An ageing gentle lab abandoned not once but twice. Dumped at a gas station this gentle creature was terrified. Please share and help find him a safe place to live in his last years.
In the chaos of a busy Delhi market, amid honking horns and rushing footsteps, a silent story unfolded.
A German Shepherd sat on a scooter.
Still. Patient. Faithful.
For eight long hours, she didn’t move.
People passed her by. Shopkeepers opened and closed their shutters. Day slowly slipped into evening. But she stayed—eyes fixed on the road, ears alert at every familiar sound—believing that her human would return.
Dogs don’t understand abandonment.
They only understand waiting.
She waited through hunger.
Through fear.
Through confusion.
Every passing minute whispered the same lie to her heart: “He’ll come back.”
But he never did.
As night crept in and hope began to fade, kind strangers noticed her. They saw not just a dog—but a broken promise tied to a leash. Gently, they approached. Carefully, they rescued her. And with warmth she hadn’t felt all day, they gave her something new.
A name.
A home.
A second chance.
They called her Swiggy.
She still flinches sometimes at footsteps. Still looks back when someone walks away. But now, she sleeps knowing that love doesn’t always leave—that some humans stay.
Her story asks us a simple, aching question:
If a dog can wait eight hours for someone who never returns…
Can we learn to be as loyal as the love they give us so freely?
Let us be the kind of humans
our dogs already believe we are.

@PandeyKamna So true. Why we don’t ask the right questions …. Whose fault is it that there are fake vaccines available. Not even one FIR till now. Even after Australia informed indian govt officially.
