We said we would be honest, so here is the reality.
Manchester 62 does not have months.
Because of licensing deadlines, we need to raise as much of the ยฃ250,000 target as possible within the next week or so.
To be completely clear: this money is for historic debts only.
Not a playing budget.
Not future wages.
Not facilities.
Not expenses for us.
Not anything that gives an investor a return.
It is to help repay debts left behind, including money owed to people who gave their time, effort and trust to the club.
The ยฃ250,000 will not clear the full debt. It is part of it.
As a consortium, we have committed to taking responsibility for the rest, knowing there is no return. We are doing it because without that, Manchester 62 may not have a future.
The next week matters.
Please donate, share, tag, introduce, or help us get this seen.

Bit of a long shot, but worth asking.
We are part of a consortium looking to take over Manchester 62 FC in Gibraltar and stop the club from disappearing.
The club was founded in 1962 with the blessing of Sir Matt Busby, and its Manchester United connection is a huge part of its history.
Right now, we are trying to reach anyone connected to Manchester United or the wider United family.
Former players, ex-staff, foundation contacts, fan media, supportersโ groups, club partners - anyone who may know the right person.
We are not expecting Manchester United to swoop in and save the day.
We just need help getting the story in front of the right people.
If you can make an introduction, offer advice, share the GoFundMe, or point us in the right direction, it could make a massive difference.

That's a fair question, and one we're taking very seriously.
We're fully aware of the challenges facing the club, including the issues that need to be resolved before Manchester 62 can move forward. Nobody involved in this project is under any illusion about the scale of the task ahead.
A key reason for the fundraising effort is precisely because there are outstanding obligations that need to be addressed. Our objective is not to ignore those issues, but to work through them responsibly and transparently as part of rebuilding the club.
We're continuing to engage with the relevant stakeholders and authorities, and while there is still a great deal of work to do, we wouldn't be committing our own time, money and resources to this project if we didn't believe there was a viable path forward.
Right now, our focus is on finding solutions, not pretending the challenges don't exist.
This club should not disappear.
Manchester 62 FC was founded in Gibraltar in 1962 with the blessing of Sir Matt Busby. That Manchester United connection is not a gimmick - it is part of the clubโs identity, history and soul.
Now the club needs help.
There are debts to repay. Former players and staff who deserve what they earned. A future that still can be saved, but only if people help us get this seen.
We are not multi-millionaires. We are just people who believe this club matters enough to fight for it.
Please donate, share, tag someone, make an introduction, or simply help us reach the right people.
Manchester football family - we need you.

For clarity, the GoFundMe has been set up to help clear historic debts left behind, including money owed to people who gave their time, effort and trust to the club.
The aim is to deal with as much of that as possible, rebuild Manchester 62 properly under a new structure, and make sure the club is never put in this position again.
Visibility and introductions are the biggest help right now.
At this stage, no licence has been granted.
Our objective is to secure a licence for the upcoming season, and we are working closely through the relevant processes to make that possible.
A lot of work remains to be done, but our intention is very much to keep Manchester 62 active and competing as soon as possible, rather than waiting until 2027/28.
As and when there are any official updates regarding licensing, we will communicate them openly and transparently.
Yes.
Should the rescue project be successful, Michael Monsour will have no involvement whatsoever in Manchester 62 moving forward. He will not be involved in the ownership, management, decision-making or day-to-day running of the club in any capacity.
The objective is to give Manchester 62 a genuine fresh start under entirely new leadership and direction.
@Gibsportsnews Thank you, we couldn't agree more.
Whatever happens, we're going to give absolutely everything we have to try and ensure Manchester 62 remains part of Gibraltar football for many years to come.
That's a fair question.
The simple answer is that we're no longer involved with Lions, and it wouldn't have felt right to continue running a Lions-branded account when all of our focus is now on trying to save Manchester 62.
There was never any intention to erase Lions or pretend that part of our journey didn't happen. We made some great memories there, met some great people, and genuinely wish everyone at the club nothing but success moving forward.
The reason the account changed is because this isn't just a post we shared or a cause we're supporting from afar. We've committed ourselves to this project, invested our own money, made financial commitments before even taking full control of the club, and are now dedicating our time to trying to secure Manchester 62's future.
Out of respect for both clubs, we felt it was better to be clear and transparent about that rather than blur the lines between the two.
At the end of the day, this isn't about Lions versus Manchester 62. It's about doing everything we can to stop one of Gibraltar's oldest clubs from disappearing.
