@Blizzard_Ent Its ok Blizz, we understand how u need to kowtow to ur oppressive communist rulers who regularly commit human rights abuses so u can lick up those sweet yuans. Glad to see you proudly demonstrating what it means to be American! Might want to wipe the mess left on ur chin boys ;)
What started as a simple sweep & clear now finds us pitted against a Mummy Lord in his LAIR. A host of mummies burst from their tombs spreading disease like its the 1960s! Fireballs fly & players die... no really, DEAD, A retreat is called, serious blows dealt to both sides.
In one fateful fit of boredom, ranger Aust, disgruntled by the often cast Darkness decides against all reason....to loot a gem from the mummy lords tomb!!! #everythingturnstocompletecrap
After making all the 'right' choices & showing deference & respect, the answers we sought were illuminated to us by Diderius himself. A secret door led to the hiding place of Varram. Pressing on a legion of lizardfolk stand between us & him. Battle rages, Darkness fogs the field.
In the quest to capture Varram, a mysterious tomb is encountered. Belonging to a mummy lord, benevolent by first impressions, traversing its lair mostly goes uneventfully. Talking statues & riddles all point to a source of knowledge
Varram. The name of this cultist was heard prominently at the inn. A dwarf in a unique mask. Perhaps a high ranking figure? We pursue them to hills. On the way, unique etchings were discovered, few words were understood. One being DIDERIUS.
A bunch of dead cultist & 1 blue dragon later, we discover cultists as a whole have been traveling SE toward the Serpent Hills. What do those hills hold that are drawing disciples of the dragon lord?
A little out of the way inn, where our reputation proceeds us! Free drinks for all! What could possibly go wrong...or what odd coincidence can possibly cause us to be ATTACKED by a horde of cultists & a Blue Freakin Dragon! Time to redecorate this place...in cultist blood!
The #RiseofTiamat continues tonight. With the dragons defeat the party moved back to Waterdeep, spreading the news of Old White Death. The Waterdhavian patrons were very pleased with the successful efforts. Moving more adventure awaits...& a inn. A comfy place to rest ?
Our fight was kinda like this picture, except add in loads of dead bodies, freezing breath, exploding icewalls, unicorns with rainbow lazers shooting out of their eyes, The Hulkbuster, the Harlem Globetrotters & honey mustard pizza, yeah that about describes it!
In what can only be described as the most epic battle vs a dragon ever, every awesome & terrible stroke of luck and misfortune hit us in the most unexpected ways. At a whooping 16hp the Dragon flees. VICTORY!
Another epic battle against a white. Blood, magic & bravery. Tactics, luck & cursing and scrags....did I mention scrags. I hate Lair Actions....
In what can only be termed as an 'epic trolling', this bastard white dragon played us like a $2 fiddle. Slows, stinking clouds, ice walls, breathes....Lair Actions galore... Every Dwarf for himself. A life & death struggle
The path is clear, but a choice remains...lure the dragon out of its lair or fight it within. Both have advantages & disadvantages. We choose the latter, reluctantly, but confidentially. Certainty of death. Small chance of success. What are we waiting for.
About a 6 dead ice trolls later, we have found Maccath the Tiefling, She is very blase about her rescue. Shes been acting as a glorified librarian for a studious dragon. Specifically dealing with the Draakhornm
Down an ice shaft we go. The less dexterous sliding down like a drunken skier down a slope. Now the real work begins...a dungeon crawl through the layer of a great white dragon. Carry on Heroes!
They have no qualms with our daring & stupid plan to murder a mighty white, but will not assist us in any way. IF we fail & retreat, they will slaughter us wholesale to avert the wrath of Arauthator. With that accepted, they show us the secret entrance below the village shamans hut
A huge ice mountain floating in the sea, that is one of Arauthator's abodes, Long boats & alot of searching lead us to the ominous barren iceberg on the Sea of Moving Ice. On the upper surface a tribe of natives lives there, beholden to the dragons whims.
To the far north the company travels, so far north that even frigid Icewind Dale is left behind. Valdemar, our barbarian from the north, guides us to a local tribe to negotiation & obtain the location of our commissioned target, Arauthator, "Old White Death"!
