Welcome new followers!
My name is Lincoln Savi and I make life sized, realistic, 3D-printed, animal models for research, education, and display. I also sell the files on my website https://t.co/NmQb8pQdOr. (pictured: Boana picturata model)
This is the first time I've printed and painted this model. It's a large female red eared slider. Soon to be off to its new home in Sault Ste Marie with the Invasive Species Centre (@InvSp). If you want to print and paint your own check out https://t.co/BJeggq4pML
@RoboMattias@NazFX_Studios The whole frog was printed in transparent resin, I brushed on more resin over the throat and cured it under a uv light to reduce the frosted effect that the model had straight off the printer. Then I was careful to not over paint the throat while painting it so it stayed clear.
@PinkyIsBlue Most of my models have been for educational purposes but I think they're usually used as a visual aid that a presenter uses while educating people. Sometimes they're used in animal behaviour experiments as stimuli.

I spent the day today programming a tool that parametrically generates 3D files for bird eggs. Did anyone ask for this?
no.
Will anyone find it useful?
maybe.
