@HiMyNameIsSeton Miles drops 5 yards off his mark when the line break pass comes in. Had he kept a better line he would have easily closed down before the sit.
And actually the pass probably would have never came, because there wouldnt be space in front of the backline
@3four3 He did grow up in the game. He didn't get his introduction into the game and then decide to coach.
He already had years (decades) as a student of the game before any coaching course.
Lots of training creates competence.
Competence creates confidence.
Confidence creates enjoyment.
Some parents think they can skip step one and wonder why kids quit playing.
@PaulSpacey Although he misses the ball and probably shouldnt have slide, that second missed tackle has better mechanics than the majority of u15 boys I see in the US
@PaulSpacey Held some tryouts in our soccer barn. Kids were telling me that they are better on a big field where there is more space to run.
I told them the tighter space just magnifies the weakness, but the qeakness is still there in a big field
MEET AMERICA'S TOP SOCCER DAD 🇺🇸⚽️
Rusty Aaronson built a makeshift soccer pitch in his unfinished basement and turned all three of his kids into soccer stars in Europe, on the USMNT, and for Villanova 🌟
Part three of DIY FC, presented by @homedepot takes us to the Aaronson's New Jersey basement where Rusty developed training philosophies that changed youth soccer in America.
@PaulSpacey I just played the opposite: a field of about 55 yards long by 30 yards wide. With high school boys. 11v11 or even 12v12.
Only a couple kids could handle it. The vast majority were trying to play long all the time. The ball was constantly out of play.
@Kephern_Fuller My son had to tell me who that tea drinker talking was.
He is an Marval fan and didn't even like this video.
This video only hits if you are an Arsenal fan.
US is hosting the tournament and still cant crack the top 10. 20 years ago, on foreign soil, US had better odds at the start of the tournament with 2.44%.
We have moved in the wrong direction the past couple decades.
Argentina not selecting Real Madrid players.
Brazil considered leaving Neymar home even before his latest injury.
France, Germany, England, Spain, and Portugal with similar stories.
I believe the gap has widened recently between the top and the USMNT.
This is where people get it wrong.
They don’t need to be:
• Aggressive tacklers
• Dominant physically
• Ball-winners
Their value is in control, not chaos.
