I hadn't been on twitter in awhile, and I think most of my friends are on discord and insta, but in case anyone didn't know. My dog, my bestfriend and soulmate Twister passed away on Wed. He was 14, & was going to be 15 in Dec 5. It happened suddenly. And I miss him terribly.

Oliver Tree's producer, Victor Wao, survived the f*tal helicopter crash because he pulled out of the flight at the last minute and decided to travel by car due to his fear of flying.

Wao had been scheduled to travel with the group by helicopter to Angra dos Reis when his friend and fellow producer Lucas Vignale learned he was scared of flying and quietly arranged a car to take him there instead.

Wao got in the car. Lucas got on the helicopter.

On June 14, 2026, both helicopters collided mid-air over Rio de Janeiro. All six people aboard sadly lost their lives, including Oliver Tree, Lucas Vignale, Gaspar Prim, Lucas Brito Chaves, and both pilots.

Wao posted a tribute to Lucas on online: "I was supposed to be with you guys in that helicopter, and I didn't go at the last second. You told me that since I was scared of flying, you had managed to get a car to take me to Angra and someone else would go in my place."

He added: "Now I owe you my life, brother. I don't know what to do at this moment. I love you so much. Lucas, you were pure light."

Más que mi artista favorito era un chico con el que amaba hablar, siempre tan lleno de vida con proyectos nuevos, ideas increíbles y emocionado por comerse al mundo. Me encantaba preguntarle sobre su nueva música, escuchar cómo diseñaba sus trajes y bromear sobre su tonto acento gringo cuando me hablaba español.

Créanme que fue el artista más amable que conocí, siempre se interesaba en el bienestar de los demás y le encantaba bromear. Muy dedicado a su trabajo, detallista… obsesivo, apasionado, MUY creativo.

Esto me duele, y no puedo expresar lo suficiente. Es una pesadilla, no lo puedo creer. Quisimos vernos pero no se pudo, y esperábamos con ansias la próxima vez. Pero puta madre, no hubo otra vez.

Su música es PERFECTA, ESCÚCHENLA. Nunca se lo pude decir de forma clara lo tan jodidamente fan que soy, y lo mucho que su música me ayudó.

La vida es efímera, rápida… impredecible. Hagan todo lo que esté en su poder para cumplir sus sueños, sus metas. Aprovechen cada día para vivir y darlo todo, disfruten TODO. Sean amables.

Era un amor de persona, siempre me sorprendía lo amable que era todo el tiempo, siempre me hacía reír. QUÉ INJUSTO… él tenía TANTAS cosas que quería hacer. UNA PERSONA MUY ÚNICA, IRREPETIBLE.

No pudimos tener fotos juntos… pero les muestro un poco de lo dulce que él era y la pasión que tenía por su música.

Descansa en paz, sé que estás con Dios.

We’ll never forget the day we met you Oliver. You came over to the 145 house to make some music. Bowl cut, beavis and butthead sweatpants on, still going by “Tree”. You freestyled for 10 minutes straight in the upstairs studio and right when you finished everyone else in the house bust open the door screaming “who are you?!?” We all were blown away by the sound of your voice.
Since then we got to witness how extra special of a human you were. Incredibly funny, incredibly driven, and a huge heart.
Always a smile on your face, always some new crazy plan, always looking out for your friends. One of a kind. Rest in Peace @Olivertree 💜
