The question is, how do we address this issue and make teaching a career of choice?? Finnish education has always been held on a pedal stool as an exemplar of good education. Surely we could do better for teachers and children?
Over 90% of Finnish teachers remain in education for the entirety of career. We have an attrition rate of nearly 50% every 5 years. They pay a fair salary, don't have a formal teacher evaluation, value teacher input, & don't overload their plates focusing on standardized tests
Inspired once again by @worcesterjonny and the fantastic history resources they make, I have had a go at making a GCSE Biology Battleships game for paper 1. Doesn't look too pretty yet, but I will be trialling it with my revision class tomorrow and tweak accordingly.
Hi all,
We will no longer be using the mantra “Four legs good, two legs bad” to stop pupils swinging on their chairs. One of our PGCE English trainees has read Animal Farm with 9Z, who are now chanting “Four legs good, two legs better” each time they are reprimanded.
Thanks x
There are no stationary objects in the Universe: even our Solar System is moving not only around the center of the Galaxy (828,000 km/h) but also relative to its nearest stellar neighbors (70,000 km/h)

I’ve created this (with significant help to make it look presentable) to support SENDCOs who are starting to think about primary-secondary transition. Hope people find it useful, please share widely.
A recap of one of my favourite things that I did this year, the 'Beatles songs reimagined as film posters' series. A little tribute to The Beatles and mid century graphic design.
After extensive research, I've concluded that for Santa to deliver presents to the billions of homes that celebrate Christmas, and to do so in one continuous night across 24 time zones, he & his reindeer must open wormholes through the fabric of spacetime between each delivery.
In case you were wondering, for Santa, in a single 24-hr Earth-night, to deliver presents to all those who celebrate Christmas, he must visit 25,000 homes per second.
