@SudhanidhiB@SreyashiDey Everyone praised the pujo and idol and millions rushed to watch the spectacle before the accident. Now suddenly they don't like the pandal, the idol and they're happily accepting the propaganda of some "Baal", because the administration can't be blamed!
@TheBongHead Did I ever say I have issues with people celebrating durga puja in a "Sanatani" or "Satwik" way? You are implying it should be your way or highway, my criticism was directed at that.
@pyDATA2 First of all, an atheist isn't always a communist, step out of your cocoon. Who are you to tell me how am I going to celebrate durga pujo? You celebrate in your sanatani way, I'll celebrate it my way. To me, Durga puja has transcended beyond just religiosity through its art.
@Ani_GooN3r Siksha or education is about knowing truth, ability to identify truth, ask questions, demand proofs. Whatever you're explaining is a kind of brainwash
@Ani_GooN3r There are 1000s of enlightened human beings in the world, way greater than you and me, who never did any nam jap, never believed any guru blindly, never followed a religion blindly and still achieved great things along with touching many human lives. So calm down!
@Ani_GooN3r You'll find the other side of the story as well. You hold on to your heritage, who stopped you? Just know others are not bound to follow you or your ideology. You need to learn to live with it!
@Ani_GooN3r Rather I'd suggest you to read about morality, whether it is subjective or objective, where did it originate, how did it evolve. Reading different authors and povs will enrich your mind much more than a spiritual guru's words
@Ani_GooN3r I don't need a religion to teach me right or wrong. Every religion has too much venom in it. If you lose your ability to critically judge anything right or wrong, then your upbringing is incomplete and you're very vulnerable to be used as a tool of violence
@Ani_GooN3r We hold on to humanity, empathy, compassion and moreover a passion to know the truth through science. As Richard Dawkins said, science is the poetry of reality. Culture also evaporates and changes with time, the culture you're boasting of now, gone through many changes already.
@Ani_GooN3r Haan toh non veg o limited amount e khele kono khoti hobena to digestive system. Rather hobishyo is full of carb and fat, so scientifically none of your ideas hold much power.
@Ani_GooN3r Illogical is a fact, it isn't a proven fact, nor someone has claimed it can be proven, hence it's not even a hypothesis. That's not my verdict boy, that's an universal fact! It will remain the same no matter how much you try
@Ani_GooN3r If your culture doesn't teach you to criticize the traditions with a free mind, then it is building a stagnant society. That's why Rammohan and Vidyasagar faced huge obstacles from traditionalists. Those Radhakanta Debs are still alive sadly
@Ani_GooN3r@TheBongHead But sadly, that does not change the universal fact. Follow it if you find peace in it but please don't lose tolerance to other opinions. A wise man once said "I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it".
@Ani_GooN3r@TheBongHead This is a very poor personal attack when you don't have any logical counter. Get well soon and try to be a better human being first before being a hindu
@Ani_GooN3r@TheBongHead Have you though that there are millions of people who don't follow this and still live very healthy life and love their near ones too? Have you ever thought your way might not be the only way? If not, then perhaps you're ideologically more compatible with Saudi Arab than India
@Ani_GooN3r@TheBongHead But if you believe in it, you're free to practice whatever you want. And if someone doesn't, they're free to follow whatever they want without breaking a law. None of them are disrespectful. Is it so difficult to understand?
