Yesterday, the President of AALI, Dr @NteranyaS Sanginga, was received by H.E. @Félix Antoine Tshisekedi, President of the DRC at the « Cité de l'OUA ». The meeting took place in his role as Coordinator of the Presidential Advisory Council for the National Agriculture and Food Pact (CCP-PNAA).
Accompanied by Mr. @Pacifiquekahas1 , Co- President of AALI, Dr. Sanginga presented a report on the significant progress made by the DRC following the commitments made at the #Dakar2Summit, with a focus on Africa's Food Security.
Among these commitments made with the #AfDB are the transformation of agriculture and the scaling-up of agricultural value chains in the DRC.

The report submitted to the President outlines:
1️⃣ Progress in agricultural transformation through @ATARDC , with technical support from IITA and AALI, as well as other partners in the provinces of Kinshasa, Sud-Kivu and Kasaï Oriental.
2️⃣ Initiatives to scale up agricultural value chains at national level.
3️⃣ Advocacy for the extension of the Congolese CCP-PNAA model to Burundi, Cameroon, Zambia, Nigeria and Senegal.

DRC remains one of the few countries to have honored their commitments, establishing the #CCPPNAA as a presidential consultative council in April 2023, 2 months after the Summit.
