✌️ END OF AN ERA ✌️
As someone said on Sun, it’s the end of one chapter & onto the next fantastic one! Thank you to everyone who passed by yesterday & slurped all our draught taps dry & bought those extra bits from us to make today’s moving a bit easier. It’s been wonderful 1/4
It’s a little tough out there. How you all doing? Want to share your portfolios or websites and tell us about yourselves? Graphic designers, you go first! We’d love to hear from you! 👀
@LaBiblioteka@LeahsYard Beer and mags, just like old times. We still get people asking after you too! Sounds like a great space to be and can't wait to visit once Leahs Yard is up and running.
Worth a read. And a share. And a top-to-bottom change in society.
You’re all missing out on talented people with different perspectives and strengths because you don’t want to make any changes.
Some reflections on job seeking as a disabled person in the context of the Work & Pensions secretary's comments about mental health.
I do not have any work requirements as I qualify for the support group. I do not get any money from ESA just NI credits /1
@madison_rolfe@HelpSheffield Not sure if there’s anything on the day, but @HopHideout have an event tomorrow evening and had women-lead events last week/over the weekend. Worth checking out.
Imagine being that angry at life! And taking it out on passengers! I wasn't the only one to cop for it.
Anyway, I was grateful to get the bus and had an alright day, went on my merry way and now I've got wine. So who's the real winner ay? AY?!
It's so bad out there at the mo that a bus driver today hated me getting on the bus so much he hit his steering wheel.
The bus in front hadn't moved and he didn't give himself enough space to pull out so when I waved through the glass doors, after running down 2-3 streets 1/X
I thanked him twice, got my ticket and he nearly closed the door on the fella behind me.
Then, when I got off, he said 'no rush!' Hahaha! It only registered after I thanked him absent-mindedly. 3/X
A pavement near a lay by got made into a grass verge with wild flowers. Irritating as I had to walk in the road, however, the flowers and bees did cheer me up.
Now we have neither because the council have mowed it all down.
I'm going to plant some shit under cover of darkness...
Further on from this, we took it in turns the other day to put some favourite songs on. We had the usual suspects; Disney theme tunes, Beyoncé, Queen, even Meatloaf. What I did not expect was one lad to turn round, cool as you like, to request Firestarter.
Keith Flint lives on.
@szabohaslam Yeah, I'll keep my eyes peeled... I can also contribute screens, squeegees, a basic board and screenprintery knowledge, but I can only dream of a bed and exposure unit at the mo'. Print Club spoiled me.
