NBA discourse has some of the most toxic interactions. Context and logic are rarely used, and players are constantly torn down to try and build up others. A lot of times I’m confused if people actually watch the players on the court, or if they’re arguing just to argue.
@majinyulito@YDeezySense@MatthewMcC1980@NBA__Courtside So if he were 4-0 but didn’t make the finals, you’re saying that’s better than making the 10 finals but going 4-6? When people don’t even make the finals it doesn’t count against them. I get it.
@MatthewMcC1980@NBA__Courtside No shade here I’m just genuinely curious-if LBJ went 4-0 and wasn’t 4-6, does that look better in your opinion? And does context with rings matter at all? Or is it just like total rings or rings and a finals record combo kind of thing?
@LegendDeadTom@BuckeyeNatty I never said he was trying to jam, and I don’t think he even tried to get his hands on the receiver. I don’t think it was as bad of a rep as some in the comments. I think his “slow” reaction was instead patience in maintaining his leverage. His trail technique was decent enough
@CBus270@LegendDeadTom@BuckeyeNatty I don’t think he was supposed to jam him on this because he never made an attempt to at the line. I think he was just trying to keep inside leverage and force the outside release.
Imagine somebody following you around after a big win. You tell them you want to celebrate with your teammates, but they insist on stopping you. You are polite enough to answer basic ass questions, and then get roasted the next day for it. Maybe just pay the fine next time?
Hey bro, you get paid $262 million to play football. When the prime time broadcast wants an interview, you stand there like EVERYBODY ELSE does and do the interview. Grow up.
Kudos, @LauraRutledge. Real pro.
@Bama175@CodyCarpentier I see so many people focusing on the loser of CCGs. Is this not also an opportunity for them to improve their situation with a win? If you want to do away with CCGs then I understand your point. But games are Win/Lose and should have positive and negative outcomes for said teams
I am sure this is engagement bait, but I’ll bite. Just charge them a safety like you would if this happened in the other end zone. So Bengals get 2 points and they’re set to receive the ball.
I would agree with this if there weren’t so many bowl games. There should be very few bowl games outside of the CFP. Make it mean more. Becoming “bowl eligible” should be set at a much higher standard than it currently sits.
So true. Great to have the CFP obviously as a goal but the season isn’t over if that’s out of reach.
People that view it this way aren’t being realistic or fair to the players or coaches. For over 100 years teams would go 9-3 or 10-2 and have a New Years Bowl game and celebrate a great accomplishment. I get the 12 team playoff has changed that POV for many but if you finish 10-3 and finish 13th in the country is the season a failure? Again the CFP should be the goal but let these teams compete and fight their asses off and see where you are at the end of the year!
@BarackObama If you spend 40 years in "public service" and come out with a net worth of a quarter billion dollars, chances are pretty good you weren't serving the American people.
Hot take but maybe eliminate the sliding/giving yourself up when running. Supposed to make the game safer, but the last second slides are consistently getting guys knocked out. Is the sliding actually safer?
@jaredpalmer_@JBook_37 I don’t necessarily disagree with what you’re saying here. We all know most of the SEC regularly gets overhyped, but also certain teams in the BIG10 do as well (PSU/IU specifically the last couple years). I am curious if you replaced IU with Oregon above, if you feel the same?
