Thank God for photographers who risked their lives over the decades of fighting. Israel saw how powerful those images are and decided they will kill journalists who try to show the world the truth.
I just posted a whatsapp status listing the words my daughter can pronounce. Most of them are isiXhosa words. I am actively speaking majority IsiXhosa with her coz I know she will pick up English at school.
😭hai man I feel very deeply about this issue but guys do you know how fast babies grasp languages😭 and you didn’t teach your kid NOT EVEN ONE indigenous language?
There is something that happens at OR Tambo immigration after you come back from an international trip. I see the sign SA passports holders. But it is when you approach the home affairs immigration, they look at your passport after you have greeted in English and the official says: “usaphila MaNdlovu?” This switch from English to your language. Then they continue to ask: “uhambe kahle?” you reply. While still checking your passport, they say: “sithembe ubuziphethe kahle nawe!” They stamp your passport and they say: “welcome home!” Your smile, your heart ke sana as you go to fetch your bags. Ikhona maan into eyenzekayo kuwe! Uncuma de uyophuma! Yes, we have problems but OR Tambo immigration officials you make it better! Even for those 3 minutes.
This is utter bullshit. When Indonesia refused to grant the Israeli under 17 team visa’s for the 2023 U-20 World Cup, FIFA stripped Indonesia’s hosting rights and moved it to Argentina. So @FIFAcom can stop with the lies.

You allowed this to happen for too long. From taxi drivers deciding that e-hailing drivers, friends and relatives could not transport people, to this. Videos of non-state actors "enforcing" their jungle law on South African streets have been circulating for so long. These actors were proud of their "law enforcement" and actually recorded it. You and your government were spectators. It is a sign that you were absent or too scared to face the backlash should you act against South Africans breaking the law. It doesn't matter how valid grievances are, NO STATE should quietly watch a parallel state emerge, with non-state actors deciding who belongs snd who doesn't, who must live or die. Your government, led by you, did that.
