Typical disappointment from the #USMNT . Zero effort from the guys tonight. Poch did nothing to change the tide. Pulisic did nothing but turn the ball over. Backline was non existent.. and Freese’s baffling mishandle. This is the best we have? This is the future of US soccer?
A one-game suspension and no mention of punishment for the officials is a very poor response to a significant WNBA problem. Column coming soon. Our @usatodaysports news story:

In one year, the biggest stage in women’s soccer returns.
The road to Brazil is still being written, but the goal is clear.
365 days.
One team.
Millions of fans.
Our opportunity to make history.
I remember when @cbrennansports asked a player a question and the 144 Members of the Players Union were quick to respond, and wanted her banned.
I remember when the Sky got beaten so badly, people online claimed they heard monkey noises and the WNBA immediately launched an investigation.
Wonder how long it takes for them to review this, and we get a comment, if anything happens at all.
This is pathetic — not even loose ball worthy. League needs to review this. Completely uncalled for. And of course, they got what they wanted - Clark out for the game (back).
What a photo this is. Alyssa Thomas delivers a fist to the throat of Caitlin Clark. No foul was called. Will the WNBA continue to ignore the way its most marketable, popular and important player is hit and fouled by other players? Or will it finally act — and suspend Thomas?
So, I'm trying to catch up because I'm on World Cup stuff today, but this absolutely should have been reviewed.
Easily fits a flagrant 1, at minimum, and if they said flagrant 2, I'd agree with that, too.
This is uncalled for. You cannot do this under any circumstance.
It pains me to say this as a basketball purist, but at this point I almost want Caitlin Clark to walk away from the game.
No player should have to keep getting assaulted while everyone who should have her back stays silent.
Worse, opposing players now seem to know they can do this without fear of retribution.
This has become much bigger than basketball.
In the NBA, you go for the throat of someone and you’re ejected almost immediately
In the WNBA, you go for the throat of Caitlin Clark and it’s not even a foul
