Do not pray when there is work to be done, or if you are truly doing right by god, and that means understanding the mix of survival and morality, consult him, and if you hear nothing back, it is not the time to pray. Do not be afraid to do whatever is necessary to protect your family, sometimes that means surrendering and leaving a shitty place. God will not let you into heaven if you get tricked into being more moral than the next guy, soldiers fight and die for your safety, and you have the audacity to sit on a moral pedestal thinking you are going to heaven. Not everyone has to fight, but at least think it thru and understand it. Some people do need to pray because they lost someone so dear and need peace, but for the rest of us who feel their pain, do not relent, do not pray. Get to work
