The Mets offense is ice cold right now. They’re dead last in OBP on the season and it’s looked even worse lately, without Soto over the past week they’re hitting just .171 vs RHP, which is bottom 3 in the league. They’re simply not stringing together competitive at-bats or making pitchers work.

We’ve also seen this translate directly to outs props: 4 of the last 5 right-handed starters have cleared this line against them. The only miss came from JT Ginn, and he was on a pitch count.

On the other side, Cabrera looks fully stretched out. He hit 98 pitches last start and has already gone over this line in 2 of his 3 outings this year. Workload isn’t a concern, and this is exactly the type of matchup where he can cruise.

Low OBP lineup + poor recent form + a pitcher trending up in pitch count is exactly what we want for outs.
