@Britt_Ghiroli That said, we should be fast tracking complete removal of people from calling balls/strikes except for ABS oversight/exceptions. Given today's pitch velocity and movement umps are performing a harder job than any time in history and concurrently miss more calls.

@Britt_Ghiroli Thanks for posting. Excited she got the opportunity and thought she performed well for circumstances. No reason women can't perform the role equally as well as men and the more women candidates (and more candidates overall) means we all win as long as merit drives selection.

@sportslvr55 @UmpireAuditor I’m not sure what to make of this performance. My first thought was gambling angle given Walsh rates in top 15% overall in 2025 prior to yesterday, but he’s making bad calls both ways in the game.

Maybe he just had a really really bad day. Guess who doesn’t have a bad day… ABS.
