We provide and inspire affordable housing solutions to enable low-income people in Santa Clara County to achieve financial stability and self-reliance.
This plan is the result of invaluable collaboration with our residents, staff, and community partners. Together, we are advancing toward a more vibrant and equitable housing future for all. View our 2026-2030 Strategic Plan here: https://t.co/WPODwKKD4d
As we celebrate Affordable Housing Month, we are thrilled to share a major Santa Clara County Housing Authority milestone: the official launch of our new 2026-2030 Strategic Plan!
The Housing Authority owns nearly 3,500 multi-family housing units in Santa Clara County with 1,300 units in our development pipeline! This Affordable Housing Month, we shine a light on our work to grow our housing supply by acquiring and rehabilitating housing.
With the launch of our new five-year strategic plan, our commitment to our residents remains our top priority. We look forward to continuing our work with local community organizations and leaders across all levels of government to meet the needs of our community.
For Affordable Housing Month, we hosted a fireside chat and Q&A focused on the Housing Authority’s work to support families and develop affordable housing.
Amid policy and funding changes at the federal level, the Housing Authority continues to focus on increasing the affordable housing supply, maximizing our voucher programs, and connecting our residents to the services they need.
May is Affordable Housing Month! The Housing Authority is committed to creating more affordable housing supply to empower residents, foster economic mobility and revitalize neighborhoods throughout Santa Clara County. Stay tuned this month as we highlight our work.

On average, this partnership with Sunrun offsets at least 70% of residents’ monthly electricity costs. We’re now working towards implementing this technology across all SCCHA properties! Read more about our partnerships in this year’s impact report: https://t.co/PWzBS8idcO
On this #EarthDay, we’re reflecting on our agency’s efforts to adopt and maintain more sustainable resources and practices. 🌎 We recently started partnering with @Sunrun Solar, to install solar panels on our properties.
That’s not just a number, it represents thousands of lives that have been changed for the better.
We are excited to support the work to create a new plan to ensure we continue to work together to end homelessness in our communities.
SCCHA has been a partner in Santa Clara County’s Community Plan to End Homelessness, working with stakeholders across our community to ensure more people can remain stably housed.
Together we have exceeded our goal of housing 20,000 people!

We were honored to stand alongside our partners at @rcdhousing, the @sccgov, and local leaders to celebrate the construction at Lupina, a new affordable housing community in San José.
At the Housing Authority, we’re proud to contribute Project-Based Vouchers that will help ensure homes remain accessible to those who need them most. Developments like this are only possible through strong partnerships & a shared commitment to housing stability & opportunity.
