We lost $38 on Ozempic recently.
Patient actually showed me his EOB from his Medicare Part-D plan.
Plan paid over $1,200
PBM paid our pharmacy $876 and pocketed the spread, which was well over $300 for one drug.
If you aren’t enraged by this: unfollow me right now.
@Delta incredibly impressed with the response to a medical emergency on my flight to Atlanta. You should be extremely proud of your crew and their ability to handle a difficult situation.
The South Carolina Aquarium attracts roughly 500,000 recorded visitors each year. The impact of the growing number of visitors, and the money they spend around town, has a ripple effect far beyond the Charleston harbor the maritime attraction overlooks. https://t.co/gh1EwHEVvu
"Eighty-four percent — we could not distinguish between political party — are very concerned about PBMs," said Blum, "& over 80% want to see PBMs regulated by members of Congress and by state legislatures.

Thank you @RepTimmons for meeting with me today. The #Protect340B Act (H.R. 2534) puts a stop to #PBM and health insurer payment discrimination against #340B hospitals.
My hospital @theprismahealth uses #340B savings to reduce hospital readmissions and provide OB/GYN services to uninsured/underinsured patients. Thank you to @SenatorTimScott's office for taking time to meet with me today to discuss this important #healthpolicy topic. #Protect340B
Thank you Grant Singleton from @LindseyGrahamSC's office today for meeting with me to discuss the need for U.S. Senate legislation to stop #PBM and health insurer payment discrimination against #340B hospitals and providers. #Protect340B
Pfizer and GSK are the latest manufacturers to impose additional #340B restrictions. Thats 5 manufacturers who are restricting hospitals to one Contract Pharmacy. What does that mean? Check back in a year when your health-system is shutting down local clinics to stay afloat…
These restrictions won’t reduce savings by a few hundred or a few thousand, they’ll reduce your local health systems savings by millions. Every year that savings is used to treat our most vulnerable populations and cover the cost of free care.
Change your thinking, and you’ll change your destiny. This is how Americans can be empowered to create a brighter future for themselves and our nation.
Testified b4 Senate Commerce Cmte 2day about my bipartisan work 2 hold powerful middlemen called PBMs accountable & lower Rx drug costs 4 patients Cantwell-Grassley PBM Transparency Act will put sunshine on PBMs let’s pass bill ASAP
This screenshot right here will help illustrate why there's a shortage of pharmacists working in these conditions (and it's not the "Big Bonuses" part). 😵🥴 #baskettowers#patientsafety#TwitteRx
I guess CVS and Walmart forgot to speak with their employees first… There’s no shortage of pharmacists, these companies simply don’t provide adequate resources to run the pharmacy.
An apparent shortage of pharmacists is forcing CVS and Walmart to reduce the hours of its pharmacies, as they close earlier in thousands of locations. https://t.co/SGaBhUpS7j
What pharmacist wants to work for a company that covets profits over its people and patients? Short/no lunch breaks, cuts in technician hours, and generally requiring additional responsibilities without adequate staff (ie. Covid and flu vaccines).
Everyone once in a while the group laughs, and I find myself awkwardly laughing as well so I feel part of the group. But I'm at home. Laughing by myself. At conversation I can't hear. With two cats staring at me.
Trying to listen to the SC Board of Pharmacy meeting on YT is virtually impossible. 3 yrs after covid pushed us to virtual meetings and we're still having trouble with technology
