Pitchers:

•Once the ball leaves your hand, there's very little you can do unless it comes back to you. Cover 1st, field your position, etc.

Yelling "stay closed" or "out front" are nothing but useless phrases that fill silence unless the pitcher understands their true meaning.

Most throwing errors occur after misplaying a ball. Why? Rushing. Stay calm, set your feet, & throw. So often we rush a throw unnecessarily.

Pitchers: Learn to read what a hitter's swings look like off you. Also, learn to read what foul ball direction means. Game within the game.

Remember that footwork is a really important factor in fielding ground balls. Often, it's the difference between safe & out.
