@BillerNET I am, just slowed down due to critical priorities. You can read more details about this in our Discord, pinned messages in the "announcements" channel. https://t.co/nQntWYXzHT
@_LadyAgnes Still not impressed with random floating blocks and small pieces of terrain, hoped this update would address that.
Overall I enjoy the extended verticality of the generation, too bad you have to have a monster PC and high render distance to fully appreciate it.
@Tekayo63@PolyFlore That's indeed some weird censorship. They justify that this post is a concept of something that's not in the game and interpreted as a "suggestion", for which there's r/MinecraftSuggestions. "We do not accept images of things just because they are blocky."
While making amethyst shard for #Depixel, noticed it looked a lot like a sword blade. Posted this on r/Minecraft and got immediately removed for "Unrelated content".
@JasperBoerstra I respect that. The main problem for me here is that it looks less like metal because of lack of hue shift between midtones and highlights. Just like gold goes from a little orangy to bright saturated yellow to white.
@JasperBoerstra Here I used 4 shades in a gradient map (HEX codes from darkest to lightest): 754a2d, 855332, c77946, and ffda75.
The reason for this change is that the current copper pallete feels bland, monotone and lacks metalness, doesn't really represent real copper.
@JasperBoerstra Great improvements. I would strongly suggest to shift copper colors more towards yellow, I made this example (on the right) with with colors as close to real copper as possible.
@JasperBoerstra As someone who worked with copper in many ways, I can surely say you nailed the copper color. Though I'd make it more black under the turquoise patina instead of desaturated.
Each #Depixel texture is made with building and compatibility in mind. I apply suitable edits to make any possibly ugly vanilla texture be more pleasant to use. We are interested to see what you can build with Depixel. Tag us in posts with screenshots of your amazing builds.
