@ChanceAndJack Cute. We get the tiny weeny ikkle sand lizards where I am in the U.K. very rare apparently although on a sunny day I donโt think they realise they are rare.
@nialariaa @AndrewOathy @metoffice Ah, someone else knows the sensible thing to do. The other option is to move to the North Pole. It will be temperate soon.
@metoffice Can you explain why this is just for the southwest and midlands? To a mere mortal it looks like it should be for most of the country. Thanks.
@GMB If the sensible, selfless and cautious of the population keep following the guidelines that we have followed for 18 months and we now get Covid can we sue the Prime Minister for not following the science and continuing to put people at risk?
@MickKennally2 @RyansG1rl02@JeremyVineOn5 Could you afford ยฃ1,000,000 for a house then? That is NOT affordable! That is what they are going for around here. Those types of houses are not needed.
@Bartez21@JeremyVineOn5 Thatโs because the dfls canโt rent out normal 2 bedroom affordable houses. i was thinking about the prices of the houses here and the cheapest is around 370,000and 2.2 million on a housing estate with NO GARDEN!!!!!
@BFARE2@JeremyVineOn5@eastwestrail All of our councils Here denied them but it got sent to the government and They just said they could build. Now theyโve built them and they are overpriced so 98% of them are sitting empty. ยฃ450,000 is out of reach for the people that need houses.
@Bartez21@JeremyVineOn5 I live in an area where they have built 2000 houses in the last 5 years. About 2% have sold. They start at ยฃ450,000 so they are not affordable. Itโs not NIMBYISM. Its capitalism. Build them where they are needed. Not in the middle of nowhere where only certain people can afford.
