School Chance Final Conference
1st December 2021: the final conference of the School Chance project took place online. It was aimed to share the progress and the results that partners’ cities achieved in 4 years of project implementation.

On 13 October, the 8th project management meeting of School Chance project took place with the aim of sharing the results achieved by partner cities and launching the project extension granted by the Interreg Europe.

One of the measures implementation by the City of #Gdańsk in the framework of School Chance's Action Plan is the introduction of the Kiss and Ride zones (K&R), to improve the safety of children in schools proximities.

The City of Utrecht implemented its Regional Action Plan by focusing on 2 actions:
⭕️ Closing school streets to tackle traffic problems and pollution
👷 Promoting the role of mobility managers, which developed covid-proof lessons about traffic education

The Action Plan carried out by the Brasov Metropolitan Agency included 3 best practices:

On 2 June, the Municipality of #Girona, with the cooperation of the Government of #Catalonia, held a public closure event of the School Mobility Manager Local Network Pilot Action in Girona.

The 7th PMG of School Chance Project took place on 2 March.
It focused on the RAPs implementation in partner countries and on the actions to be carried out in the last 2 semesters.

During the third webinar on Cycling Cities, Alberto Palomo from the Regional Government of Cataluña presented School Chance’s efforts in increasing sustainable mobility by acting on cycling-related behavioural change in schoolchildren.

Last week the government of Catalunya has approved the Action Plan for School Mobility in the framework of School Chance Project with the aim of promoting safe, inclusive, sustainable, active and autonomous journeys for children in home-to-school trips.

Last week, the Regional Government of Catalonia, has presented the Catalan School Mobility Action Plan 2020-2021 in Barcelona: six strategic actions will promote the improvement of school mobility in the territory from a comprehensive and multidisciplinary approach.
