Students working so hard… or maybe just seeing how many times they can write their name in a set amount of time! Rates and unit rates. They were so excited! 😆 @TISDCPJHS @ReneeMiller0104 @TomballISD
Getting students up, talking, thinking, and working together in math class! Great conversations and thinking happening! #iteachmath @ReneeMiller0104 @TomballISD@TISDCPJHS
Working together and having a “self checking” activity provides fun, gives practice, and it helps me have time to walk around and fix misconceptions! I love activities like this! Rollin’ Review for the win!

When everyone is so engaged that they don’t realize the bell is about it ring for lunch, you know the kids are engaged! Checking their solutions with locks and keys!

When my students tell me over and over that the activity we are doing is fun, I’d consider that a win!!! They were working together, helping each other, and on task! This is why I love my job! #iteachmath#mathisfun@twcawarriors
I am so proud to tell everyone that my nephew, Colin Van Wicklen, will be going to the Olympic trials for men’s gymnastics! To say that I’m proud is an understatement!
Colin, I’m so proud of your hard work and preservation!

I love when ALL kids are engaged and on task. It doesn’t happen every day (every teacher dreams of it happening every day), but when it does, it sure does feel good!

@GeomTutor @twcawarriors I totally agree. But in 6th grade, we do natural, whole, integers, and rationals So we focused on those, and I mentioned irrationals. But I couldn’t go too far into all of that. But if I can get them to understand vocab and see the connection between the #s, I feel like I won.
Sometimes you need some kinesthetic help understanding that all whole numbers are rational numbers, but not all rational numbers are whole numbers. #handsonmath#iteachmath@twcawarriors
