I’m building the music app I wish Spotify had.

It’s called Apollo — a free, local-first app for people who take their music taste a little too seriously.

🎧 Rate every song you listen to
💿 Track albums, artists & your listening backlog
📊 Build a permanent, searchable record of your taste
🔥 Filter your highest-rated music into Spotify playlists
✨ Soon: generate playlists with natural language + get recommendations based on your actual ratings

The idea is simple:
Spotify knows what you listen to.
Apollo knows what you actually think about it.
And instead of turning that data into another SaaS subscription, Apollo keeps it on your machine.

No subscription.
No premium tier.
No proprietary cloud database holding your ratings hostage.

Your music taste belongs to you.

I’m building Apollo in public, and on September 30, 2026, I’m open-sourcing the entire thing.

Until then, I’ll be sharing the product, code, mistakes, design decisions, and everything I learn building it.
