@karenvaites@Amplify Looks like NAEP data available suggests the same thing - hardly any change in after-2nd grade scores, compared with the before times!
Anyone out there have a student tracker that supports them with keeping track of how they've made progress on all the Performance Expectations over their HS career? I'd love to 'borrow' it for a minute :)
We have a chance to break a record! Share this survey with your students ASAP so we can get as many student voices influencing the next @OpenSciEd Biology unit to be developed! Time is short; share today 👩🎓🧪⚱️https://t.co/QQ7heb4czw
So many great questions about rodents, clover, and pigeons! I bet if we answer them all, we'll be able to explain how urbanization is driving evolutionary changes...and maybe even come up with some ideas for adjusting how we urbanize in the future! @OpenSciEd
Your window of opportunity is closing in front of you! Now is the time to share this survey with all of your amazing students - doesn't matter what grade they are in or what they are currently studying :) Share widely and generously!

You've been randomly selected to share an important survey with your students! Act now and your students could find themselves in a future science unit related to speciation and common ancestry! Don't delay :)

@Steph4Science I like to think of the integration as an elevation of the ESS standards. Earth Science is too often used as a tracking tool for schools. Now, not only is that tool removed, but ESS are a part of EVERY students' HS learning! There is no way to graduate without making sense of ESS!
It is always fun to learn that what the @OpenSciEd curriculum writers anticipated students would think, question, and share actually plays out in situ. Check out the blue list + the benefits and costs of each that this class came up with to start L1: (1/3)
L1 Teacher Guide: 'Look for students to mention that they used a microwave, toaster, stovetop, or air fryer to cook their food. Students should also mention the dangers of using some appliances, or the limitations of some appliances to cook different types of food.' (2/3)
Only two weeks left! Help your students find themselves in the new @OpenSciEd HS Biology curriculum by letting us know what they find most interesting. Proud to be a part of projects centering student interest and identity! https://t.co/KyjVAcNAZT
Love seeing these hand-on artifacts and evidence of students using their own questions to drive instruction in @DPSNewsNow @iHub Biology classrooms supporting students making sense of a phenomenon!
How exciting for your students to have a voice in curricular design! The more students you get to complete this survey, the more likely it'll be for your students to be motivated by the next OpenSciEd Evolution/Common Ancestry Unit for HS Biology!

We'd LOVE your students' input on how interesting some different phenomena are, all related to common ancestry & speciation....5 points of extra credit to everyone who gets their kiddos to complete this survey! https://t.co/KyjVAcNAZT
