Scientists for Yes is a campaign led by Ireland’s scientific community, advocating for a ‘Yes’ vote in the upcoming abortion referendum #8thRef#Evidence4Yes
Remembering 3 years ago today. 67 % of us voted to repeal the 8th amendment. It shouldn't have needed to be so slow and difficult and divisive, but we did it.

A second surge is taking place across Europe.
Ireland and Finland are the only countries in the EU where reductions in 14-day incidence have been observed. All other countries are increasing.
We must keep driving down this disease, we must keep going. #COVID19
Rising cases of #COVID19 are incredibly worrying... we need to heed the expert advice we’ve been given.
Financial and social supports must be put in place - as well as a decent test and trace system - so further restrictions will be a success.
Looking forward to hearing two of Ireland's leading epidemiologists: Patricia Kearney @TrishCork of @UCC & Anthony Staines @astaines of @DCU, advocating for a #ZeroCOVID strategy at the @OireachtasNews#COVID19 committee today with @MlMcNamaraTD

Tomás Ryan: Of all Covid-19’s many impacts, its brain attack may be most troubling
“The disease can damage several organs, but its possible neurological effects are perhaps the most complex and disturbing”
Fascinating article by @TJRyan_77 https://t.co/ptFZGmsFKr

From the mouth of one of New Zealand's chief epidemiologists - why #COVID19 elimination is the best strategy for the population.
To be fair, it's a lot easier to achieve if you're a small country, with a sparse population, on an island....

This is so true - those bleating loudest about the economy seldom think of the costs of discouraged customers, or a second wave.
