/7.1 preload stuff

Specific list of things I’ve seen going around GenshinTwt, and my commentary on it:

1) On the whole “Dottore bashing” by the characters: Honestly, I don’t know why this was a surprise to most people. I don’t count Sandrone and Arlecchino saying something shitty about Dottore as a bad thing. They already made it known that they don’t like him, so it really shouldn’t be a surprise for them to continue to say something of the sort (especially for Sandrone— she literally died because 35 stabbed her). That’s basically “nothing new” for their character.

-Pierro didn’t actually say anything bad about Dottore. All he said was: “The two men were vastly different in terms of personality. Otherwise, your description is indeed an accurate one.” That sounds very neutral to me when he made the distinction between Dottore and Hroptatyr. He was just saying that they may be similar in some aspects, but not in all—they both are two different types of people.

-The box was never going to have anything in there. The Lore made it SPECIFICALLY known that it once held the “second half” of Dottore’s soul. But that was then used by Pantalone for the Irminsul experiment. Also, I don’t think the “document” holds anything important. I’m assuming that it was found alongside the box, and thus the brief “note” within it (in my interpretation) discussed the removal of the box and its relocation to Pantalone’s office. Some people are upset because it was said to “glow” yet the object model doesn’t show this: probably due to the program used to display the object file. It probably DOES glow, but it still won’t mean that there would be something in there. But who knows?

-We now know where the Pyro Gnosis is: within the Leylines. It may have gotten “burned” but it’s not destroyed; it can’t stay inside the leylines forever as they are not compatible. They will need to look for it because it will surface again at some point, possibly soon due to the incompatibility. Might take them some time though, since I’m assuming the leylines are extensive…(and for my copium: guess who else could POSSIBLY be inside the “roots” of the leylines IF we go by the Simulanka theory? The Roots of Irminsul aka the leylines were what survived while the tree burnt down. Aaru may be the new Irminsul replacement and is what is connected to the leylines as the “central hub”, but that doesn’t change the fact that the roots of Irminsul still may harbor him, especially if he was “dragged down” by his Segments…)

-I personally do think some people are overthinking about what the Tsaritsa said when she stated the whole “I don’t believe in sacrificing pawns as a means to an end”. When I see this being discussed, I see Signora, Dottore, and Capitano being brought up. I understand that most had personal reasons for their actions/ retrieving the Gnosis/whatever… but Signora and Dottore died because of their actions (Signora lost against the Traveler and thus forfeited her life to Ei whom she then tried to foolishly attack; Dottore died twice due to his Nod-Krai and, subsequently, the Irminsul experiment because he PUT himself in that situation) while Capitano took a long time-out sitting on the chair because he made the choice to save Natlan. Eventually none of that was commanded by the Tsaritsa.

Remember: the stuff dug out from the preload today are pieces of a larger picture. Yes one can piece together a narrative that may actually be close to a fit with what Hoyo has created, but it’s best to wait and see the dialogue and characters, etc., all play out in the AQ before making any actual arguments, doompostings (LOOKING AT YOU, MY DOTTORE FANS), whatever floats your boats. One can draw a clearer understanding of the “spoilers” when it’s presented as a whole!
