Science nerd with too many hats (mum/wife/daughter/sister/teacher/etc). Always fight stupidity, hatred and for what u believe in. Hate has no home here! She/Her
Imagine a world where nations help instead of trying to occupy each other.
We would all be residents of our tiny Earth in this endless universe.
There would be no foreigners anymore.
Think of the joy and belonging that would spread everywhere.

In Canada we believe in gun control not uterus control; we don’t go bankrupt to cover health care costs; we are a mosaic, not a melting pot; richer people pay higher taxes and we normally don’t wish for really bad things to happen to someone unless they threaten to annex us.
@d0j0h@WendyGoodes@karenosstf How is it a miscarriage to present an option to the teacher body? It is actually her duty & for US to decide. I would be pissed if did asked. Members are always wanting to know what is happening. Wanting to be involved. This is our opportunity to yea/nay one option w/ no risk.
Let’s keep making noise. To everyone demanding that the Premier keep his Greenbelt promise, @OntarioGreens are with you.
We'll always put the needs of ordinary people before windfall profits for elite land speculators.

"Unequivocally, we won't touch the Greenbelt. Unlike other governments, who don't listen to people, I've heard it loud and clear, people don't want me touching the Greenbelt; we won't touch the Greenbelt. We'll figure out this housing mess, this housing crisis we're facing, in a different fashion.
To all my friends, I listened to you; you don't want me touching the Greenbelt; we won't touch the Greenbelt."
To add insult to injury, #onted qualifications have increased during this time while OPP qualifications have decreased. No teacher I know will ever disparage the hard work and dedication of our provincial police. We just want to be treated with the same respect come contract time
In 2004, an OPP senior constable made a base salary of $66,912. Given inflation, they should make $100,000 today. However, they've done slightly better and make $102,600. #onted
BREAKING: Bank of Canada staff received $26.7 Billion in bonuses/raises in 2022 before raising your rates. Spain meanwhile attacked price-gougers rather than raising interest rates. Guess who has a better inflation rate?
@SylviaJonesMPP and @UHN I would LOVE an answer to this! Why are we propping up a US system, when we have the tech & treatment here? Why are we not supporting rare cancers, & instead impeding their ways to new & potentially helpful treatments? Why do we hang them out to dry?
If we have had a 420% incr in mental health funding for HS’s I have two points: 1) how bad was funding to begin with, as it is pretty nonexistent today. 2) why do you think students need more mental health care? What are we doing wrong as a society to create such an incr in need?
This #BellLetsTalk, our government is taking action to expand mental health access for youth through a 'One Stop Talk' service.
This builds on the 420% ⬆️ in mental health funding in schools.
Today, let's show kindness to those who struggle.

#BellLetsTalk about how your ridiculous pricing causes incredible amounts of stress on Canadian families and leads to many mental health and equity issues.
My phone plan is about $100, in Italy it would be around $40
My dad pays $60 a month for a house phone...
@GambyVp@gator_gum Not the media. This is what is happening, but unions have decided this round that they aren’t going to negotiate in the public forum. So they aren’t contacting media right now.
Hearing that the negotiations between the Ed Unions and the Ford Gov't are essentially stalled at the scope stage. This means that ground rules can't even be agreed upon.
This is usually an easy step, this is not normal. Hearing the gov't is intentionally stalling. Why?
We’re connecting people across Ontario to convenient care, close to home.
One part of that plan is the expansion of the popular Learn and Stay grant. This will help underserviced areas of the province attract much-needed nurses, paramedics and lab-techs.
