Thank you for following and supporting our research on X
We won’t post here anymore, but our work in spinal cord injury research continues.
Join our other channels (linked below) to keep up with our work. Thanks everyone 👋
🔬 Our eWalk2 trial involves specialist scientific equipment.
Here's Dr Terry Trinh teaching the team to set-up equipment from @ADInstruments We send electrical stimulation through the spinal cord this equipment records, filters and shows us the muscle response.
Our work is driven by a passionate, dedicated team committed to advancing knowledge and improving lives.
Together, we’re building a future of hope and progress for those affected by spinal cord injury!
#SCIresearch#MeetTheTeam
Seated balance is one of the most important aspects of daily function for individuals with spinal cord injuries.
Our upcoming study will explore innovative ways to enhance seated stability, giving people more confidence and control in their everyday movements. 💪🥳
🌟 Happy International Women’s Day! 🌟
Today, we celebrate the incredible women of the Spinal Cord Injury Research Centre—researchers, clinicians, and advocates—who are driving innovation and making a lasting impact on the lives of individuals with spinal cord injuries. 💜

Today at NeuRA, we had the privilege of celebrating the remarkable career of Professor Simon Gandevia 🎉. As one of NeuRA’s founding scientists, Simon has been instrumental in shaping our institute’s success and advancing neuroscience research 🧠
🎉 Our second #eWalk2 trial site has started it's first participant at Neuromoves in Clyde
⚡ eWalk2 is a walking trial for people with an incomplete spinal cord injury. Non-invasive spinal cord stimulation with training to see if walking function improves.

🎉Congratulations to Chiettha on her well-deserved Arc PGC Research Award!🎉
We are incredibly proud to announce that Chiettha, one of our PhD students, has been recognized for her exceptional efforts in fostering a supportive environment for HDR students. Well done Chiettha!
Our new eWALK 2 trial is a Phase 3 trial - but what does this mean?
Phase 3:
In this phase, we conduct a larger trial to confirm the therapy’s benefits and ensure it’s ready for broader clinical use. We compare it to existing treatments or a placebo.
