Science Learner of the Month

A little late but the Chwefror learner of the month was awarded to Zara. Displaying exceptional effort, determination and hard work in preparing for the year 10 applied science mock exams. Well done Zara 👏

Year 10 learners have been answering the question of how materials for cellular respiration are obtained.
What better way to familiarize learners with the digestive system than to model the system on aprons.

Congratulations to Ethan (7JD) for being awarded science learner of the month for June. Ethan has had a perfect first year in science at Croesy. Excellent attitude and enthusiasm all year, finished off with a phenomenal end of year assessment score.

Year 7 classes have enjoyed developing skills in problem solving, collaboration and numeracy in science lessons delivered by Welsh water. The learners had great fun building model water systems.

Outdoor Classroom Day is a global movement to make time outdoors part of every child’s day.
The science department has fully engaged with this campaign all day today. Finishing with a year 9 scavenger hunt.
