Having no contact with the person you're still in love with, who, at one point in time, sent you texts that would make your heart melt. And now, you can only love them in silence from a distance, slowly being forced to close a chapter you never wanted to end. It feels like carrying the weight of unsaid words and unfulfilled dreams, as memories become your only companions. You replay those moments, knowing they'll never come back, yet clinging to them because letting go feels like losing a part of yourself.
My next relationship we're having a monthly sit down. Just sit and discuss us, how things are going, what we can do to develop our relationship more. you will be surprised at what just a lil communication can do for any relationship
I think a lot of us started today with a big cry. Mine lead me to reading through old messages and the first time I spoke with Alex. He was reaching out to welcome me to the community, to ask if I needed help with anything, and ultimately to be a friend.
This was just one of an endless amount of examples of how he would make a real effort for others. He brought the community together in so many ways and Yugioh would not be what it is today without him. It goes without saying that Alex’s kindness, enthusiasm, effort, and thoughtfulness will live on in this community.
He’s an inspiration, he always was, he always will be.
Strongest relationships are the ones that start over.
When things fall apart, it’s easy to walk away.
But restarting? That takes real courage. It’s not about pretending nothing happened. It’s about acknowledging the mistakes, owning them, and choosing to rebuild.
Relationships lose their spark when trust fades and communication dies.
But here’s the truth: If both people are willing to fight for it, anything can be fixed.
Starting over means:
• Learning to forgive — not just your partner, but yourself.
• Rekindling the friendship.
• Reigniting the passion.
• Building a brand new foundation.
You can’t go back to how things were.
But you can create something even stronger — based on lessons learned and real mutual respect.
Restarting isn’t weakness. It’s growth.
It’s looking at someone’s flaws and still choosing them every single day.
It’s hard work… but the best things in life always are.
So if you’re considering a restart don’t let fear stop you.
Believe in second chances.
Some nights I still pick up my phone and check for a message I already know isn’t coming. Not because I’m waiting for a text, but because a part of me misses how things used to be. It’s strange how someone can go from being the first person you talk to every day to someone you no longer hear from at all. The conversation ended, but the habit of missing them never really did.
Sometimes the hardest part of missing someone isn’t the distance or the silence. It’s realizing that you still check your phone hoping their name will appear, even after they’ve given you every reason to stop waiting. You tell yourself you’re moving on, but certain songs, certain places, and certain late night thoughts still bring them back. The saddest thing is not that they left. It’s that a part of you still saves a place for someone who no longer plans to return.
i like the concept of soulmates-not a
"you're destined to meet me, and love me" kind of soulmate, but a "i'd pick you, every time." kind of soulmate. a "no matter what happens, and what has happened, i want to go through it with you." kind of soulmate. a "i love you by choice, and you're a blessing, and i'm going to continue thinking about you this way not because i have to but because i want to." kind of soulmate. a "you help me rest easy when everything is difficult" kind of soulmate. a "in every possible outcome, i want you there, to share it with me." kind of soulmate.
I keep checking my phone, hoping your name lights up the screen. Every notification feels like it could be you. The hardest part isn’t the silence, it’s not knowing if you miss me too. We used to talk for hours, now I’m left rereading old messages. Funny how a few texts can make someone feel so close, then so far away.
