@sarahevictor I feel your pain. I remember at some point in the first year or so, feeling so grateful when I realized we'd gone 2 whole weeks without anyone being sick. DM'd you.
Guangsheng Liang, John E. Poquiz & Miranda Scolari @ScolariMiranda@ttupsychscience show that space- and feature-based attention operate both independently and interactively within latent components of perceptual decision making.

@LexiDecker3 Proving your point: this tweet caught my eye, when I should have been paying attention to something else. 😉 Looking forward to reading it and learning more!

For those interested, my department has a FULLY FUNDED Masters Program in Experimental Psychology. The deadline is February 1, and we don't accept GRE scores. Faculty support student interests in behavioral neuroscience, social, cognitive, clinical, and developmental psychology.
@fernandaedi I teach logic and reasoning early (just before an overview of methods) to give students an understanding about how and why we test cognitive processes the way we do, but I hadn't thought about turning the whole course around. Interesting idea!
This might be a first, but on a short answer question on my cognition final about a specific (male) researcher's work, every student used female pronouns if they used any at all. Is the new prototypical cognitive psychologist female? 🥰

@sarahevictor I like to cycle through a set of mindlessly relaxing games on my phone (which for me are some kind of sorting games or word scrambles. I can group things by color for hours 😅).
It's been days since I watched the first 12 min of The Patient finale and had to stop cuz I felt it was about to get uncomfortably intense. Without any spoilers I just wanna know: how much of it is difficult to watch and how much is just like Domhnall Gleeson peeing?
@MJSerraPhD Gleeson plays a serial killer who kidnaps his therapist (Steve Carell) to help him control his impulses. Both actors are phenomenal in it, even when Carell is just listening to Gleeson pee in the next room.
