Yr12 Engineers trip today to Liverpool John Moores University, our students took part in exciting activities around the fantastic Engineering facilities. They were also given a lecture on the new Formula Student electric racing car!
Thanks to all who attended our ‘Dyno session’ on Saturday morning. Our Engineering students Radek & Ruben worked so hard safely maintaining the exhaust fume extraction system. Although we did have to end the session early due to software issues with our machine.
Azaan Yr13 has been continuing his rider training today on our 250cc racing machine. Well done so far Azaan. We love the smell of Two stroke in the morning!! 😅
Well done to former NLA student Francis Lawlor on becoming a ‘Master Technician’ at Harley Davidson. Since 2012 Francis has been a fully qualified Motorcycle Mechanic after he gained an apprenticeship at Revolution Scooters Liverpool while studying Vehicle Technology Level 3.

Our Scoot66/Engineering students latest project is to service & repair a Ford Crossflow engine. This demonstration engine has not run since before lockdown. Good luck lads!

Year 10 Engineering students had a chance at playing NLA’s version of I’m a Celebrity! They had to guess the tools they had been using in recent practical lessons. Well done to Mr Bell’s class who won overall.
On Friday our Engineers visited the School of Engineering at @LJMUengineering. We had a fantastic time learning about their university courses and using their facilities! We were the first students who got to use their new VR cave also! @NorthLivAcademy
