So here is the news in my world, tomorrow (9 June) I will be leaving Scope for a new adventure. I'm off to join the team @silktide working on accessibility. #a11y
@CuriousScutter I love teams that live their values. Accessibility isn't a nice to have it's a right. If its inaccessible it creates barriers and its discrimination. Sooner that software companies get that message the better.
@CuriousScutter Oldest piece of IT kit in my place is me, I'm still compatible with most things and started functioning with a ZX81 and the rest is history. Oldest electronic device is my Casio calculator circa 1980
@CuriousScutter Coming to an organisation near you soon will be this exact conversation, content includes everything we create, PowerPoint presentations, documents and graphic information must be accessible
@CuriousScutter I saw "fully accessible to WCAG 2.1" as a link on a site recently, the site had shocking accessibility and the link wasnt even accessible!!
@ThirdSectorLab @CuriousScutter As it follows the framework of a BS8878 Accessibility Statement I don't see why you shouldn't take the same approach. BTW We aren't BS8878, we use its principles and the statement framework.
