@Pamchenkova I know very little about FIG internal politics, so as an ignoramus — shouldn’t the floor judges be held accountable by
*someone* on the day of competition? And if not the WTC, who?
The reason I point out that it was the WTC who created this mess, is because the IOC, Grandi & Watanabe have all warned about this. The IOC has called on the FIG to remove Executive Committee members from the field of play, as it creates a conflict of interest.

Apropos of nothing... I'm sure *someone* on this app knows the answer to a question I've always had.
Are Tim Daggett, Sam Peszack et al commentating live? Or are they talking over a pre-edited cut with pre-assigned talking points?
@heathermck6662 Ah no I tweeted this in the moment -- she definitely stepped out of bounds with both feet, but it turns out she didn't actually *land* with both feet entirely out of bounds.
I am happy for Jordan Chiles but at the sam time sad for Ana Barbosu of Romania. She thought she got the bronze medal. But because of the score change for Jordan Chiles, Ana was bumped down to 4th. https://t.co/v2IslH7Z2b
On the one hand I got choked up seeing Chiles's reaction when her inquiry was accepted.
On the other hand I hate, hate, HATE when things end with this nonsense.
The thing is, Biles had SO much extra room in bounds on the triple double. We know staying in on that pass is something she's worked really heard on, and that work paid off today!
But knowing the CAN stay in when she's focused on it makes today's outcome feel a bit sour.
I once wrote a whole article about how commentators need to calm the fuck down about people stepping out of bounds in modern gymnastics.
But today it determines who's Olympic Champion.
I didn't really follow along this quad, which means I get all sorts of lovely surprises like Barbosu's punch front.
In my head her music is a requiem for Romanian gymnastics.
