That usually happens because of a cache conflict after a new patch. Try this:
Close the game and Play Store.
Go to Settings > Apps > Google Play Store.
Tap Storage and hit Clear Cache (you can also do Clear Data).
If that doesn't work, open the Play Store, tap your profile icon > Settings > About, and tap Update Google Play Store.
